Stained Concrete
CCP permanently stains the concrete to any desired color and the result is a permanent colorization of the treated surface.
There are two types of concrete stains; acid and water-based. Acid stains are translucent and will give you a marbling and rich color finish, while water-based stains are opaque and will give you a more consistent stain as no chemical change takes place, it adjusts the pigment of the concrete. The acid stains work by penetrating the surface which chemically reacts with the calcium hydroxide in the concrete. The acid in the stain lightly carves the concrete surface, allowing the metallic salts to penetrate. After the stain reacts, it becomes permanent without any fading or chipping. Both stain types are infused into the concrete to give it the color you are looking for.
